Msiii.K Drops An Afro House Jam Called “Ife”

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, “Msimisi Khanyile” started making music in 2014. This was subsequent to his Deep House gigs in 2012. His first release in 2015 was through a record label called “SootMuzikk”.

“Msiii.K” as he is porpularly known within the South African House Music Scene brings us his banging single titled “Ife” which translates to Love. “Ife” was produced following a realisation that his forth-coming “ReBirth EP” wasn’t going to make its planned schedule.

“I had almost given up on completing my EP, but I found self-love again and found motivation and strength.”Msiii.k

“Ife” starts off with filtered electric lead synths and a powerful low end bass. As the percussion and kick drop, the song switches to melodic piano chords and induces vocals. The song adapts from progressive house, electro-funk and afrobeat. This jam provides the perfect atmosphere from start to finish with a fair amount of bass line which covers the track evenly. One can help but be captivated by the repetitive yet subtle “Afro Chants” throughout the track. If “Ife” is anything to go by, then “ReBirth EP” should be counted amongst the releases to lookout for later this year when it drops.
